Wayne John Martin

   Wayne John Martin, 76, of Watertown, NY, passed away at his home on June 9, 2025.
   Wayne was born on May 7, 1949, in Watertown, NY, the third child of John “Fred” and Viola Brown Martin and was a life-long Watertown resident. He was a 1967 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central High School and attended Jefferson Community College.

   Over the years, Wayne worked at the Watertown Daily Times, as a bartender at the American Legion Post 61, as a delivery driver for Sears, and as a stockman for Tops Markets. He served in the Army Reserves for over 25 years. Wayne was a volunteer fireman for several fire departments, including for the Town of Watertown. He was a former member of Elks Lodge 496, American Legion Post 61, and Eagles Aerie 782. He enjoyed listening to the scanner and touring the north country.
   He is survived by his two sons, Patrick, Rome and Mark, address unknown; siblings Patricia
Martin O’Driscoll, Bradenton FL, Frank J. Martin (Bonnie), Orange Park FL, and Sally Martin Peters (Steve), Woodinville WA, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and by brother Steven F. Martin.
