Teresa L. (Favero) Marshall

   Teresa L. Marshall, 92, Mardela Springs, MD and formerly of Sackets Harbor passed away January 19, 2025 in Salisbury, MD.

   Teresa was born in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada March 19, 1932, daughter of Frank and Silvia (Severin) Favero and she graduated from Port Colborne High School. In her early years she helped her brother deliver papers, worked at a shoe factory, and cut peat moss. She worked for five years for Imperial Bank of Canada, Humberstone, Ontario before moving to Buffalo.

   On July 26, 1958 she married Jerrold C. Marshall at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Buffalo with Rev. Robert Murphy officiating. Jerrold died August 8, 2024. 

   Teresa worked for Nestle's and Curtis Wright in Buffalo. In 1970 she began her career with NY Telephone, then C&P Telephone, Bell Atlantic, and eventually Verizon. She retired in 1991 after 21 years of service to the company. The couple lived fifteen years in Buffalo, fifteen years in Bowie, MD, and they retired to Sackets Harbor in 1992. She was a former communicant of St. Andrew's Church and was a member of the Bell Pioneers. Teresa enjoyed keeping busy, shopping, sewing, gardening, birdwatching, and taking care of her beloved cats.

   Teresa is survived by her two sons, Robert L. Marshall, Mardela Springs, MD and Brian C. Marshall, Lothian, MD; son-in-law Charles B. Keenan, TX; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and several cousins in Canada. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin L. Marshall; her daughter Kathryn A. Keenan; three brothers, Dominic, Luigi, and Gino Favero; and sister Mary T. Cronin.

   Teresa's funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, at 9:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Clayton followed by burial in Clayton Cemetery.
