Sylvia J. (Toornburg) Yantorn

   Sylvia J. Yantorn, 94, Albuquerque, NM and currently of Clayton passed away in Clayton on a trip to visit her family in PA and NY Thursday, January 15, 2026.

   Sylvia was born in Babylon, NY July 28, 1931, daughter of John and Iris (Naughton) Toornburg and she graduated from Carbondale (PA) High School. She married Frank W. Yantorn in February 1952 and he passed in 1989.

   She worked in design and layout for Berwick (PA) Knitting MIll. Sylvia was a member of the Albuquerque Senior Center.

   She is survived by her three sons, Frank W. Yantorn and wife Kathi, Black Diamond, WA, Matt J. Yantorn and wife Cathy, Bloomsburg, PA, and Richard J. Yantorn and wife Brenda, Albuquerque, NM; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother William Toornburg and wife Lynn, Abilene; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, Sylvia was predeceased by son, Michael E. Yantorn, one brother, and five step brothers and step sisters.
