Sharon J. (Myers) Hammond

 Sharon J. Hammond (Myers), 87, formerly of Watertown passed away surrounded by her family at her home in Cicero, NY April 27, 2026.
   Sharon was born in Watertown July 28, 1938, the daughter of John W. "Jack" and Maefred R. (Brady) Myers. She was a 1956 graduate of Watertown High School and attended SUNY Potsdam. On June 27, 1959 she married John D. "Jack" Hammond at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Peter Francour officiating.
   She had worked at Empsall's Department Store, as a librarian at Bishop Grimes High School, as a clerk in the credit department at Sears, and in the catalog department at J. C. Penney's. Sharon lovingly took care of her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, watching TV, and shopping. Her greatest joy, along with taking care of her children, was summers at the cottage on Pillar Point with all her grandchildren.
   Along with her husband, Jack, Sharon is survived by her son, John (Pamela Collins), of Baldwinsville; two daughters, Jennifer (John Newlon), of Cicero and Jane, of Liverpool. Five grandchildren; Jessica (Lewis), Jordan, Stephanie (Kyle), Elaina (Steve), and Marissa (Christopher). Eight great grandchildren. Two brothers; Peter (Linda), Stephen, and her sister Mary. She is additionally survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
   Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. in Watertown, NY on Thursday, April 30, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon that day at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. Internment will be at the North Watertown Cemetery. Online condolences to her family may be posted at
