Sean M. Briggs

   Sean M. Briggs, 38, Watertown, passed away Monday morning, October 20, 2025, at Samaritan Medical Center.

   Sean was born in Watertown, August 22, 1987, son of James M. and Janine M. (Bassette) Briggs. He was a 2005 graduate of South Jefferson High School and from BOCES. A marriage to Stephanie LaCerte ended in separation.

   He was a licensed journeyman electrician in many states and municipalities, working on projects throughout the east. He enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, camping, fishing, grilling, and spending time with his girls.

   Sean is survived by his mother and her husband, Janine M. and Thomas F. LaClair, Clayton; his father, James M. Briggs, Watertown; his two daughters, Haylee Lynn and Harper Janine Briggs; stepdaughter, Havyn Marie LaCerte; his sister and her husband, Katie A. and Tyler Davenport, Ft. Leavenworth, KS; two nieces, Mackenzie and Elizabeth; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

   A celebration of Sean's life will be held at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, Watertown, on November 8 at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown and online condolences to his family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
