Robert A. Ogiba

Robert A. Ogiba, 71, Cemetery Rd., Felts Mills passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

A funeral service will be held at Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main St., New York Mills on Saturday, December 15, at 11AM. Future burial will take place in St. George Cemetery, New York Mills.

Mr. Ogiba was born in Utica on August 12, 1941, son of Joseph F. and Veronica Picornis Ogiba. He had worked locally for a business for twelve years. He was a member of St. James Church, Carthage, and was an avid Republican. He was very proud of all his children and their accomplishments and loved them all equally and dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Veronica, and his father, Joseph, predeceased him. He had twelve children, Maria "Morrie" Ogiba, who died at age two, Christopher Ogiba, Shawn Ogiba, Shannon "Bannon" Johnson, Julia "Dooley" Mahon, Teresa "Bear" Foster, John Paul Ogiba, Charles "The Duck" Ogiba, Elizabeth Ogiba, Kathryn Ogiba, and the twins, William "Willy, the Lump" and Thomas Ogiba. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother, Joseph Ogiba, his sister, Judy Mohr, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
