Rena L. Hopseker, 86, formerly of Arsenal St., Watertown passed away Saturday evening, November 8, 2014, at Samaritan Keep Home.
A funeral service will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Wednesday, November 26, at noon with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Rena was born in Watertown on February 17, 1928, the daughter of Angelo and Mary F. (San Guiliani) Guiliani and she attended Watertown schools. She married Robert Fayette December 1951 in Dexter and he died May 17, 1958. She then married Lawrence L. Hopseker on December 13, 1960 in Dexter and he died January 7, 2011.
She had clerked and was an elevator operator at both Hotel Woodruff and Smith & Percy. Rena had attended St. Patrick's Church, enjoyed true crime novels, loved animals, and doted on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Timothy S. and wife, Kathryn, Brownville; two daughters, Sandra L. Stern and husband, Daniel, Watertown and Vicki L. Mangan and husband, Patrick, E. Amherst; four grandchildren, Julie (Stern)Signor and husband, Patrick and their two children, David and Jordan, Anne (Stern) Stevens and husband, Timothy and their daughter, Hannah, and Sarah and Angela Hopseker; sister, Florence R. "Rose" Juiliani, Watertown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husbands, Rena was predeceased by her brothers, Paul F., Paul A., and Peter R. Juiliani, and sister, Mary F. Knapp.
