Peter A. Ransome

   Peter A. Ransome, 72, Watertown passed away Thursday afternoon, September 5, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center with his family at his side.

   Peter was born in Watertown November 19, 1951, son of Robert J. and Gertrude E. (O'Flarherty) Ransome and he was a 1969 graduate of Watertown High School. Marriages ended in divorce.

   He had worked for NY Airbrake and St. Regis Paper Mill. He retired as a truck driver for Covenant Trucking. Peter formerly attended Holy Family Church. He enjoyed photography and target shooting, was a Beatles fan, and an avid Harley Davidson rider.

   Peter is survived by his son Kevin M. Ransome, Watertown; sister Robin D. Adams, Watertown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by brother Michael J. Ransome and sister Kathryn A. Bennett.

   As per his wishes, Peter has donated his body to science.
