Peter M Crabb, 85, Watertown passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Samaritan Summit Village.
Peter was born in Watertown May 25, 1940, son of LaRue and B. Elizabeth (Johnson) Crabb. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and had attended Canton ATC. On June 18, 1976 he married Verna J. (Jackson Thibault) in the town of Leray. A previous marriage ended in divorce.
He retired from Niagara Mohawk in 1994 as Chief Gas Foreman after over 25 years of service to the company. Peter was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. He was a member of Elks Lodge 496 and the Italian American Club. He enjoyed car races and building race cars with his son. The couple spent winters in Tarpon Springs, FL and summers in Sackets Harbor, moving permanently back to the North Country in 2006.
Along with his wife, Verna, Peter is survived by his two children, Marlene R. Blaisdell, Redwood and Michael L. Crabb and Sandra "Sam" Crabb, Theresa; Verna's three children, Trudy M Marselis and husband Larry, Watertown, Timothy J. Thibault, FL, and Tamara A. Franks and husband Tim, KY; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother David Crabb and wife Doffie, Alexandria, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Peter's funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 12, at St. Anthony's Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Cape Vincent will take place in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown and online condolences to his family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com. His family requests no flowers.
