Paul Alfred Mandeville, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Englewood, Ohio, on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 78 years old.
Born in Putnam, Connecticut, Paul lived a life marked by dedication, strength, kindness, and humor. He was a very devoted Catholic whose faith remained an important part of his life and guided the way he loved and cared for others. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant at Fort Drum Army Base. Following his military retirement, he continued serving his country as a security specialist for the Army for another 20 years. His work ethic, loyalty, and commitment to others were evident in every chapter of his life.
Paul was a man with a great sense of humor who brought laughter, comfort, and love to those around him. He will be remembered for his caring heart, unwavering faith, devotion to family, and the countless memories he created with those he loved most.
He is survived by his loving wife, Liliane Mandeville; his children, Renee Brunson, Ronald Mandeville and wife Trena Mandeville, and Angelique McCoy and husband Sean McCoy. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his sisters Sandra Benoit and Linda Billings, sisters-in-law Maria Goodrich and Thu-Ha Rae, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Rosiario Mandeville; his mother, Juliette Mandeville; his brother, Lenard Mandeville; and his mother-in-law, Nguyen-Thi-Thi.
Paul’s legacy of love, faith, service, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed until the day his family sees him again.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, June 5, at St. Anthony's Church from 9:00 am - 11:00 am followed by the funeral mass celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will be at his family's convenience in Glenwood Cemetery. Online condolences to his family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
