Patty L. Lemon, 72, Clayton and formerly of West Virginia passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, NY.
Patty was born August 12, 1953 in Charleston, WV, daughter of William Russell Fields and Veva Mary Carnell Fields. She was a graduate of Sissionville (WV) High School.
She worked as a waitress at several establishments in WV. She also was a card dealer in Las Vegas. Patty was a former member of the Red Hat Society in WV. She enjoyed making and selling ceramics, meeting and talking to people while waitressing, and especially spending time with her family. She moved to Clayton six years ago.
Patty is survived by her three sisters, Janet Taylor, WV, Jeannie (Mike) Schmelick, OH, and Penny (Mike) Brown, Clayton; one aunt, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bill Fields, and sister Kay Summerfield.
As per her wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton and online condolences to her family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patty's name may be made to SPCA of Jefferson County, 25056 Water St., Watertown, NY 13601.
