Olga Spaziani

Olga Spaziani, 93, formerly of Boon St., Watertown, passed away Thursday evening, October 3, 2013, at Samaritan Keep Home, where she had resided since May 2011.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Sunday, October 6, from 2 - 5PM. A prayer service will be at the funeral home on Monday, October 7, at 9:15AM followed by the funeral mass celebrated at St. Anthony's Church at 10AM with Rev. Donald Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Spaziani was born in Morolo, Italy on April 23, 1920, daughter of Sebastiano and Cecelia Alteri Paluzzi. In 1930 the family moved to Watertown and she attended local schools. On October 26, 1940 she married Peter "Peo" Spaziani at St. Anthony's Church with Msgr. Claude Sechi officiating and he died October 22, 1982.

She was a seamstress at Olga Knitting Mill. For 23 years she was the baker for Morgia's Restaurant, and then also worked a few years at Dante's Pizzaria. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and enjoyed her home and baking.

Mrs. Spaziani is surviced by her three children and their spouses, Guy Peter and Nancy Spaziani, Helena, AL, Gerald H. "Jerry" and Cynthia Spaziani, Watertown, and Loretta A. and Peter J. Loftus II, Watertown; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; her sister and her husband, Eleanor and Robert Rosell, Hornell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Besides her husband, Peo, she was predeceased by her brother, Ezio Paluzzi, and her two sisters, Angelina "Angie" Claflin and Mary Misercola.
