Nancie S. "Wiggy" Williams, 90, Watertown passed away Saturday morning, September 20, 2025, at Hospice of Jefferson County.
Nancie was born in Watertown August 15, 1935, daughter of Harold P. and Marjorie (Davis) Williams. She was a graduate of Watertown High School, attended LeMoyne College and SUNY Potsdam, and received her Permanent Teaching Certificate. She taught 4th grade at Holy Family School for 39 years, retiring in 1995.
Nancie was a communicant of Holy Family Church and Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery. She was a former member of Mercy Hospital Auxiliary She was also a past member of both the Precious Blood Auxiliary and Watertown Golf Club, where she was a past president of both. She enjoyed bridge, golf, entertaining, reading, old TV shows, and her convertibles. She will be remembered for her sense of humor.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and her cousin, Annie Davis, who was raised with the family. Nancie was predeceased by her parents; her closest and most loyal friend, Myrajean T. Koster; and three sisters, Sallie W. Parsons, Gail W. Varley, and Kay W. Alteri.
Nancie wants a special thank you to her niece, Lisa, for making it possible to remain in her own home. Additionally, her family would like to thank her caregivers, Emily, Anita, Cathy, and Kaven and their agency, CareGivers Home Care, and to Hospice of Jefferson County.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Church followed by burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown and online condolences to Nancie's family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com. Donations in her name may be made to Precious Blood Monastery, 400 Pratt St., Sisters of St. Joseph, 850 Arsenal St., or Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., all in Watertown, NY 13601.
