Kevin P. Quinn

Kevin Patrick Quinn (58), Watertown, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at his home. Mr. Quinn was born in Watertown January 5, 1956, a son of Charles J. and Arlene Margaret Ryan Quinn. Mr. Quinn was pre-deceased by his father (1995) and his mother (1998).

Mr. Quinn is survived by his brothers, Charles T. Quinn (Watertown, NY) and Joseph B. Quinn (Morrisville, NC), sisters-in-law, Sandra Bryant Quinn (Morrisville, NC) and Deanna Maitland Quinn (Watertown, NY), as well as nieces, Jillian Quinn (Watertown, NY), Lauryn Quinn (Watertown, NY), Kaitlin Quinn (Morrisville, NC), Erin Quinn (Morrisville, NC) and nephew Tripp Brizendine (Morrisville, NC).

Mr. Quinn graduated from Immaculate Heart Central High School in 1974 and was employed by the NY Air Brake from May 1977 until his retirement as a Class 6 Layout Inspector in July 2010. Mr. Quinn was an avid golfer and competed for many years in area golf tournaments; he was a 3-time Watertown City Golf Champion (1982, 1985 and 1988). He had attended St. Patrick's Church and was a member of both the Elks Lodge #496 and Sons of the American Legion Post 61.

Mr. Quinn was very proud of his Irish heritage and obtained his dual Irish citizenship in October 2013, 110 years after his maternal grandfather Eugene Ryan arrived in the US through Ellis Island, NY. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 8, from 4 - 7PM at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9, at 10AM at St. Patrick's Church followed by burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
