Kathleen L. Redder

   Kathleen L. Redder, 74, of Watertown, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient for the past several weeks. 

   She was born September 29, 1950, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Redder. Kathie graduated from Immaculate Heart Central School in Watertown. 

   Kathie retired as an executive after 31 years with Verizon. She later worked at Herb Philipson’s for 10 years and was employed by Samaritan Medical Center in various roles for the past 11 years until her illness made it too difficult to continue. She thoroughly enjoyed her work at the hospital and made numerous friends. 

   Outside of work, Kathie enjoyed golfing, shopping, reading, cheering on her Minnesota Vikings, going to the casino, ice cream, and lovingly caring for her cats. 

   She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Dorn of Spencerport; and four brothers: Ed (Judy) Redder of New Port Richey, Florida; Mark (Rhonda) Redder of Evans Mills; Martin Redder of Watertown; and David (Sheila) Redder of Ballston Spa, along with several nieces and nephews. Kathie’s parents and a younger brother, Michael Redder (April 29, 2011), predeceased her. 

   The family would like to extend appreciation to her dear friend, Sueellen Teske, for her extraordinary kindness and support. 

   In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
