Karen Lynn Briggs

Karen Lynn Briggs, 61, passed away at her home in Watertown Friday morning, April 5, 2024.

   Karen was born in Watertown October 23, 1962, daughter of Charles B. and Theresa J. (Daughen) Briggs. She was a graduate of Indian River High School, Jefferson Community College and received an Education degree from SUNY Potsdam.

   She worked for Arby's for 30 years and retired as a manager in 2020. Karen enjoyed reading, playing cards, shopping, her cats, and decorating for Halloween with her brother, Paul.

   Karen is survived by her brother, Paul E. Briggs, Watertown; half sister, Bessie Hutchinson, Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father and his first wife, Charles and Eva; her mother Theresa; and three half brothers, Charles (Jr.), Dwayne, and Morris Briggs.

   A calling hour will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. on Friday, April 19, from noon - 1PM followed by a prayer service at the funeral home at 1PM. Burial will follow in Robert Corners Cemetery (AKA Evergreen Cemetery) Henderson. Online condolences to Karen's family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
