Julia E. Rizer

  Julia was born in Staten Island, NY on November 1,1975 to Maureen V. McGowan & Kevin O. Rizer. She spent her childhood in Staten Island before moving to Northern New York . Julia graduated from Watertown High School in 1993, attended college at Boston University and continued on to study law at Brooklyn Law School.
  After she graduated in 2002, she went on to work in the James R.  McGraw Law Firm, and then transitioned to a Family Court Attorney for Jefferson County NY. As a guardian ad leitim Julia spent her career advocating for children & families in need, working for the State of New York in Jefferson & Lewis counties for many years.
  Julia will always be remembered for her quick wit and humor, but most of all, for the amount of kindness and love she held for those close to her, especially for her son. Throughout her life, anyone who knew her, knew that her greatest love was for her son, Mac (17).
  Julia was predeceased by her father Kevin O. Rizer, her maternal grandparents Mary-Margaret & Edward J. McGowan and paternal grandparents Joy Thompson Ott & Jerry Rizer.
  She is survived by her son Martin A. Clement III (Mac), good friend and former spouse, Martin A. Clement Jr,  her mother Maureen, siblings Maggie and Alex Mehran, Katie Breen and Zach Zaremba, Jake and Lesli Breen, Patricia Breen, two nieces, five nephews, as well as, beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family, friends and loved ones, who will miss her for the rest of their lives.
  Services will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc.
