Judith A. Cornaire, 76, Auburn and formerly of Clayton, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at Auburn Community Hospital.
Judith was born in Watertown April 6, 1947, daughter of Benjamin A. and Catherine M. (Flood) Lane and she attended Clayton schools. On August 21, 1965 she married Thomas H. Cornaire at St. Mary's Church with Fr. Leo Wiley officiating. Mr. Cornaire died February 1, 1991.
She retired from Gray's Wholesale, Clayton, where she worked fulfilling the customer's orders, in 2010 after over 20 years of service to the company. After retirement Judith moved to Florida to live with her sister and brother-in-law, then returned to northern NY.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, listening to country music, especially Vince Gill, and watching the ships pass on the St. Lawrence River. Judith was a NASCAR, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Red Wings fan.
She is survived by her three sons, Edward F. and wife Nicole D., Clayton, Kevin P., Florida, and Jason W., Ithaca; four grandchildren, Dylan, Naiya, and Natalie, and Hailey; sister-in-law Cynthia Lane, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, Judith was predeceased by brother Allen R. Lane, in infancy, brother David B. Lane, and sister Alice J. Reddick.
In May a graveside service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery and a celebration of her life at times and dates to be announced.
