Jerrold C. Marshall

   Jerrold C. Marshall, 89, Mardela Springs, MD and formerly of Clayton and Sackets Harbor, passed away August 8, 2024 in Baltimore, MD.

   Jerrold was born in Clayton December 29, 1934, son of Lawrence R. and Doris V. (Rogers) Marshall. He was a graduate of Clayton High School and attended George Washington University. He served in the US Navy from February 1952 to October 1954.

   On July 26, 1958 he married Teresa L. Favero in St. Joseph's New Cathedral, Buffalo with Rev. Robert Murphy officiating.

   Jerrold worked for Western Union for 15 1/2 years, working in Buffalo, Syracuse, Mahwah, NJ, and Washington, DC. He then worked 9 years for G. T. E. Telnet, Reston, VA and then for Stearns Office Equipment, Washington, DC. After returning to the north country, he retired as a Construction Inspector on Ft. Drum. He received a Certificate of Recognition fron the Secretary of Defense in recognition of his service during the period of the Cold War (2 September 1945 - 26 December 1991) in promoting peace and stability for this Nation.

   Jerrold was a former communicant of St. Andrew's Church, Sackets Harbor. He was a member of American Legion Colon Couch Post 821 for over 60 years. He was a Boy and Cub Scout Master while living in Orange County. He was a volunteer fireman for many years with the Mt. Lodge Park (NY) Fire Dept. and was an EMT, member, and former Fire Chief with the Bowie (MD) Fire Dept.

  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 19, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church followed by burial in Clayton Cemetery.
