Herbert Joshua "Josh" Ariss, Junior

   Herbert Joshua "Josh" Ariss, Junior, 73, formerly of London, Ontario passed away at his home in the town of Clayton Monday afternoon, October 6, 2025.

   Josh was born in London, Ontario, Canada April 27, 1952, the son of well-known artists, Herbert Joshua Ariss and Margot Joan (Phillips) Ariss. He married Sheila M. Snyder in Black River on April 17, 2000.

   For two years he was a graphic designer doing illustrated book covers. He then began his career with Ford Canada, Talbotville, Ontario and retired from the Quality Control department after 30 years of service to the company. Josh was a member of Unifor Local 27. He enjoyed making welding sculptures, watching auto races, hockey, and especially the Cleveland Browns.

   Along with his wife, Sheila, he is survived by two children, Nicole Karma Ariss and Derek Nigel Ariss, both of London, Ontario; three grandchildren, Quilin and Willow Bridge and Lily Ariss; four stepchildren, Bill (Lori) Ladison, MS, Tim (Lisa) Ladison, Clayton, NY, Shelley (Beth) Ladison, AR, and Buck (Jaime) Ladison, Canton, NY; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; brother Jeffrey (Lydia) Ariss, London, Ontario; two nieces, one nephew, and several cousins.

   As per his wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton and online condolences to Josh's family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
