Harold W. Tracy

Harold W. Tracy, 70, E. Main St., Watertown, passed away Thursday morning, November 15, 2012, in the emergency room at Samaritan Medical Center.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Sunday, November 18, from 2 - 4PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 19, at 10AM with burial following in North Watertown Cemetery.

Mr. Tracy was born in Watertown on June 26, 1942, son of Leo and Catherine Reff Tracy. A marriage to Arlene Slate ended in divorce, and he then married June Roof.

For over 30 years he was the owner and mechanic of Tracy's Automotive in Watertown. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #782. Harold was an avid racing fan and drove car #39 at the Watertown Speedway, and had also drove at Evans Mills and CanAm Speedways. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed the NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

Besides his wife, June Roof, he is survived by his four children, Karen A. Roberts, and husband, Steven, and Mary Binion and husband, Greg, all of Watertown, Brenda L. Reff and husband, Tim, Cape Vincent, and Kevin H. Tracy, Watertown; four stepchildren, John Lieberman, Dale and Ruby Lieberman, and Jeffrey Lieberman and companion, Hannah, all of Watertown, and Cean and Adele Lieberman, VT; seven grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and two step great grandsons; two brothers, Thomas and Janet Tracy, PA and John Tracy, Watertown; his sister, Catherine and Pat Cathy, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His brother, Leo Tracy, and his two sisters, Joyce Lane and Beverly Claflin, died before him.
