Georgia Veith Obituary

   Georgia A. Veith, 77, Cape Vincent passed away at her sister's home Sunday evening, October 13, 2024.

   Georgia was born in Rochester December 12, 1946, daughter of Arthur F. and Lois (Bolton) Veith. She was a graduate of School of Holy Childhood in Rochester.

   She retired from Sunnybanks Bar and Restaurant, Cape Vincent in 2016 after serving in its kitchen and restaurant for 40 years. After retirement she enjoyed working alongside her nephew, Jon "Pookie" Ivey, in multiple restaurants in Florida. Her life was dedicated to taking care of her younger siblings and their families.

   Georgia was a former member of St. Vincent dePaul Church, Rosiere and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Cape Vincent and a current member of River Community Church, Clayton. She enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews, knitting and crocheting, going to Florida with her parents, bible study, and working at River Community Church's Sunday School. She was involved with gathering donations for St. Jude's Children's Hospital River Walk.

   Georgia is survived by her three siblings, Sandra L. Ivey and husband Michael, Mary V. Royal and companion Thomas Parker, and John H. Veith and wife Rhonda, all of Cape Vincent; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

   Burial in Sand Bay Cemetery will be at her family's convenience. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton and online condolences to Georgia's family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com. Donations in her name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
