George E. Gordon

   George E. Gordon, 84, Brownville passed away Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center.

   George was born in Watertown October 19, 1940, son of Clarence E. and Kathryn A. (Blodgett) Gordon and attended school in Brownville Glen Park. A marriage to Alice Loomis ended in divorce. On February 14, 1999 he married Amber J. Borland in Glen Park.

   George worked for Kamargo Furniture, operated George's Lock & Key Service, and also worked for Blue Mountain Spring Water. He retired as a mechanic for Freeman Bus Company. He had been a reservist in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 588, Brownville. He enjoyed NASCAR and stock cars, racing #11 in both Watertown and Evans Mills.

   Along with his wife, Amber, he is survived by his son James E. Gordon, Glen Park; grandson Eric Reynolds, Watertown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, George was predeceased by a daughter Jennifer J. Gordon; sister Linda L. Buttry; half brother Gerald Cornaire; and half sister Jeannine Narrigan.

   A prayer service for George will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Friday, January 3, at 2:30 PM. Burial in North Watertown Cemetery will be at his family's convenience.
