Frieda P. Washer, 100, Watertown passed away Tuesday evening, May 19, 2026, at Samaritan Summit Village.

   Frieda was born in Watertown September 6, 1925, daughter of Richard and Doras (Bush) Grandjean. She was a graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy. On June 21, 1947 she married Paul F. Washer and he passed on April 19, 1998.

   She enjoyed being a mother to her children and she also was a reading assistant at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School for a number of years. Frieda was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and when she and her husband lived in Port Charlotte, FL she was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo. She and Paul spent their retirement years in Port Charlotte. She was known as a crafter: quilting, knitting, crocheting, painting, always doing something to keep her hands busy. Paul and her loved to play cards and enjoyed playing with their friends. The jewels of her eye were her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great grandchild.

   Frieda is survived by her four children, Linda M. Williams, Watertown, Judith A. Gillespie, Watertown, Ruth A. (John) Rienbeck, Indiana, and Richard P. Washer, Watertown; and 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son Stephen E.  Washer, her son-in-law, Ronald P. Gillespie, and brother, Gregory Grandjean.

   A graveside service in North Watertown Cemetery will be at her family's convenience.
