Francis "Joe" Kehoe Obituary

   Francis Joseph "Joe" Kehoe, 97, Albany and formerly of Clayton passed away Friday afternoon, December 26, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany.

   Joe was born in Watertown September 4, 1928, son of Francis G. and Constance (Cirtwill) Kehoe. He graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School, Clayton Central High School, Niagara University, and received his MBA from the University of Chicago.  He also received a second Masters Degree from the University of Southern California in Science in Education. On September 10, 1955 he married Rosemary A. Hebert in Cambridge, MA.

   Joe was drafted in the service in 1951, then responded to an opening into the medical service because of his economic degree. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel on June 30, 1973, after serving in the US Air Force for 22 1/2 years in all. After his honorable discharge he began his civilian career as a Hospital Administrator at Margaretville (NY) Memorial Hospital and retired in 1989 from E. J. Noble Hospital, Alexandria Bay after seven years of service to the hospital. After retirement, he enjoyed rehabbing old houses with Pat Delaney and selling them. Joe was a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International.

   He was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church, Clayton. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 350, Rotary Club of Clayton #4613, and American Legion Colon-Couch Post 821. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting.

   Along with his wife, Rosemary, he is survived by his son, Stephen (Margaret) Kehoe, Cary, NC; six daughters, Cynthia Kehoe, Urbana, IL, Karen (Mike) Pekrul, Acra, Patricia (Don) Sheehan, Myrtle Beach, SC, Janet (Vince) Farina, Albany, Amy (Skye) Malcolm, Columbus, OH, and Judith (Rene) Coderre, Binghamton; twelve grandchildren and one great grandson; brother, John Kehoe, FL and Clayton; sister Eleanor Eck, Los Angeles, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother, Edward Kehoe.

   A funeral mass will be held July 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
