Edwin R. Hirst

Edwin R. Hirst, 76, Hilltop Towers, Watertown, passed away Saturday morning, January 5, 2013, at his home.

He was born December 10, 1936, the son of Raymond and Ethel M. (Dyer) Hirst. Edwin was the widower of Christine E. Hirst who died April 26, 2010. They were married on June 29, 1967.

Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth S. Walker, 45, and companion, William Beirman, Watertown, Kathleen "Kathy" A. Hurst, 43, and husband, Michael Hurst, Oklahoma City, OK, and Ann Walker, 25, Watertown; a son, Raymond "Ray" Hirst, 42, and wife, Michelle Hirst, Felts Mills; eight grandchildren; brothers, Cody M. Hirst, Watertown, Andrew and Dorothy F. Hirst, Exeter, NH, and Harry S. and Gail Hirst, Copenhagen, NY.

He was predeceased by sisters, Olie H. Adam and Marianne J. Clarke, and brothers, Robert E., William R., Albert E., and John D. Hirst.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30PM Monday, January 14, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown with Rev. Steven Murray, of Holy Family Church, officiating. Condolences to the family may be made at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
