Dorothy I. (Best) Fitzpatrick

   Dorothy I. Fitzpatrick, 85, of Watertown passed away Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2025, at Hospice of Jefferson County.

   Dorothy was born in Watertown December 30, 1939, daughter of Theodore A. and Irene M. (Patka) Best. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and Canton ATC. On July 29, 1967 she married Peter J. Fitzpatrick in Saranac Lake and he died in 2001.

   She worked for a short time for Jefferson County Public Health and in the cafeteria at Ohio St. School. Dorothy was a member of Stone Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed  bowling, reading, casino trips, and spending time on the St. Lawrence River in both Clayton and Cape Vincent.

   Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Eric P. Fitzpatrick, Buffalo and Brent T. Fitzpatrick, Watertown, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

   A calling hour will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Friday, March 7, from 11 AM to noon followed by the funeral service at noon at the funeral home. Burial in Brookside Cemetery will be at her family's convenience in the spring. Online condolences to her family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
