Donna W. (Wiley) Orvis

   Donna Wiley Orvis, 65, Clayton passed away Thursday evening, May 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

   Donna was born in Watertown June 24, 1960, daughter of James L. and Virginia (Potter) Wiley. She was a 1978 graduate of Thousand Islands Central School and received her B. A. and M. S. from SUNY Potsdam. On May 6, 1989 she married Timothy G. Orvis at St. Vincent of Paul Church, Cape Vincent with Revs. Timothy Ladden and Robert Decker coofficiating. 

   Donna retired as Director of Marketing for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation for Ft. Drum after 35 years of service to the Army.

   She was a devout Catholic. Donna was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Clayton and coordinator of its Booster Club. She served the church as a lay minister, Eucharistic minister, lector, cleaner and Catechist. She was also involved with the Mystery Players. Donna enjoyed golf, travel, the Buffalo Bills, and making friends with whomever she met.

   Along with her husband, Tim, she is survived by her two daughters, Sara E. Bogardus and husband Michael, Gansevoort and Allison L. Roselle and significant other Robert Snyder, Watertown; she was Mimi to her beloved three grandchildren, Giuseppa Roselle and Madeleine and Cecelia Bogardus; five siblings, Teresa Orvis and husband Mickey, Rosiere, Paula King and husband JIm, Goose Creek, SC, Mark Wiley and wife Melee, Cape Vincent and Florida, Anita Madden and husband Justin, Novelty, OH, and Alan Wiley and wife Donna, Menifee, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

   Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton on Tuesday, May 19, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 20, at St. Mary's Church at 11:00 am followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
