David O'Reilly Obituary

David H. O'Reilly, 74, W. Main St., Watertown passed away Wednesday morning, July 24, 2013, at his home.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, July 27, at 11AM with Rev. Jonas Tandayn officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery. There will be no calling hours and arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

Mr. O'Reilly was born in Watertown on July 3, 1939, son of Herbert J. and Katherine Allen O'Reilly, Jr. He attended Immaculate Heart Academy and received his GED while serving his country.

He entered the US Air Force on September 18, 1956 and was honorably discharged as an Airman 3rd Class on April 14, 1960.

On August 2, 1969 he married Lyola B. Brimmer at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Benoit C. Dostie, MSC officiating.

For thirty years he worked at NY Airbrake as a foundry worker. He was also employed by Brookside Cemetery. David was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, wood cutting, and mowing lawns as well as the outdoors, and nature. He was unselfish, and devoted to his wife, daughter, brothers and sister, extended family, friends, community, and church.

Besides his wife, Lyola, David is survived by his daughter, Kim M. O'Reilly, Watertown; his two brothers and their wives, James A. and Susan O'Reilly, Lincolnville, ME and William L. and Maxine O'Reilly, Saranac Inn, NY; his sister and her husband, Joanne and Harold Woolery, Houston, TX; one aunt, Jean Howell, Watertown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
