Daniel W. "Red" Robinson, 75, House Rd., Clayton, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Syracuse.
Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton on Wednesday, January 30, from 6 - 8PM and there will be no funeral service.
Red was born in Ogdensburg on June 21, 1937, son of Willard and Myrtle Fifield Robinson, and he graduated from Canton Central High School.
He had been a cheese maker for Crowley Foods, LaFargeville. For 22 years he worked for the Town of Clayton at the transfer site and had been supervisor for several years. After his retirement from the Town, he worked for himself in lawn care. He enjoyed attending NASCAR racing and watching it on television.
Red is survived by his wife of 45 years, Della R. Roberts; his son, Barry D. Robinson and wife, Carolyn L., LaFargeville; son-in-law, Jeff Grant, Cape Vincent; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by 3 sons and 3 daughters from a previous marriage, Tammy and Wayne Bishop, Becky and Tad Remi, Mary Beth Joanette, Brian Robinson, Randy and Sue Robinson, and Kevin and Michelle Robinson. His daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Grant, died April 2, 2012.
