Daniel E. Alden

Daniel E. Alden, 55, Northland Estates, Watertown, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012, at his home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 11AM with Rev. Steven Murray officiating, and burial will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery.

Dan was born in Utica on March 22, 1957, son of John D. and Elizabeth J. Loftis Alden, and he graduated from Watertown High School in 1976. He was a long-time employee of Halley Electric as an appliance repair technician and later worked at Sears. He was an avid skier, and also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Besides his mother, of Watertown, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Alden and fiancee, Patrick Vincent, Watertown; son, Eric R. Alden, Adams Center; grandson, Nolan Vincent; four siblings, Michael P. and Donna Alden, Henderson, Nancy M. Cleary and Christine A. and Gary Hibbard, all of Glen Park, and Paul T. Alden, Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews. His father died before him.
