Cynthia M. Slover, 78, Rodman passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Samaritan Keep Home with her loving husband by her side.
Cindy was born in Watertown December 13, 1947, daughter of Robert and Elsie (Knowlton) Tibbles. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and attended one year at JCC. On May 24, 1969 she married William M. Slover at Trinity Episcopal Church, Watertown with Rev. Elliott Metcalf officiating.
Cindy was the owner and operator of Slover's Tax Service, Rodman from 1983 until her retirement in 2013. She was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Rodman Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the National Association of Tax Professionals. She was a member of the Rodman-Fairview Cemetery Board and a life member of VFW Post 1400 Ladies Auxiliary.
She had many hobbies and interests. Cindy enjoyed gardening and growing houseplants, cooking, reading, painting ceramics and pictures, and sewing and making clothing. She also enjoyed crocheting, collecting and watching movies, music, all arts and crafts, and decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Cindy loved to be outside, also. She enjoyed camping, her times at their camp in Big Moose, taking walks and hiking, especially at Horseshoe Lake, and deer hunting with her family. Cindy and Bill would take road trips out west and then fly to Alaska and Hawaii.
Along with her husband, Bill, Cindy is survived by her three sons, Mark W. (Tammy Sue Paige) Tibbles, Sacramento, CA, William J. (Ana) Slover, Sun City, CA, and Kenneth D. (Michelle) Slover, Leavenworth, KS; daughter Christine A. (Terry Lillie) Tousley, Mannsville; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; step father Frederick Pellerin, Watertown; five siblings, Sandra (Eric) Farr, Brownville, Frederick LaGray, NC, Gary (Suzette) LaGray, TX, Karl (Michelle) LaGray, Fulton, and Sherry LaGray, TN; brother-in-law Glen Sacci, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Tibbles, mother Elsie Pellerin, one grandchild Taylor Tibbles; and two siblings, Lorna Sacci and Kenneth LaGray.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 6, at VFW Post 1400, 231 Bellew Ave., Watertown from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
