Catherine E. O'Hara

Catherine E. O'Hara, 85, W. Lynde St., Watertown passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 18, 2013, at Samaritan Medical Center.

A calling hour will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Monday, September 23, from 10 - 11AM. A prayer service will follow at 11:15AM at the funeral home with the funeral mass celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at noon with Rev. Jonas Tandayn officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Miss O'Hara was born in Watertown on January 14, 1928, daughter of Edison and Bertha Rookey O'Hara, and she attended schools in Watertown. She worked for ten years as a folder at Shaughnessy's Knitting Mill, then for 28 years as a machine operator and winder for Northland Electric. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and was a member of both its Legion of Mary and Altar & Rosary Society.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Her two brothers, John and Bernard O'Hara and her sister, Margaret Young, died before her.
