Carol Tesch Obituary

   Carol C. Tesch, 86, a lifelong resident of NY, passed away March 6, 2025, at Samaritan
Summit Village in Watertown.
   Carol was born in Oneonta on November 23, 1938, daughter of Noah and Verda (Loren)
Critz. She was a graduate of Webster High School and received her bachelor's degree
in science from SUNY Plattsburgh. Carol enjoyed a long career in teaching science and
religion in the Rochester area. Her first marriage to David Whitmore ended in divorce.
   Carol enjoyed participating in musical theater and was a singer in Carl Dengler’s Big
Band in Rochester as a young adult. After retirement from teaching, Carol was a
communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Watertown, and a Eucharistic minister. In her
later years, Carol enjoyed politics and major league sports, and was an avid reader.
   Carol is survived by her two children in Florida: daughter Ann Phillips (Dean) and son
Robert Whitmore, Jr., and several grandchildren in New York and Florida. Carol was
predeceased by her second husband, Carl Tesch, and three brothers: William, Lt. Col.
Richard, and Robert Critz.
   A funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Burial
will be at her family's convenience in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square. Arrangements
are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown, and online condolences
