Carol Dulmage Obituary

Carol J. Dulmage, 90, formerly of S. Massey St., Watertown passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Hospice of Jefferson County.

Carol was born in Watertown December 29, 1934, daughter of Edwin and Lillian (Seymour) LaDuke and she graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in 1954.

On October 23, 1954 she married William B. Dulmage at St. Patrick's Church with Fr. Divinney officiating. Bill, a shop foreman at Burns Cascade, died March 4, 2019.

Carol had worked as a nurse's aide at Mercy Hospital, as an operator for Western Union, and retired as an operator for Telephone Answering Service. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed giving back to her church. She was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and choir member. Carol cleaned the church, attended to the altar cloths, and decorated for the various holidays. She started the 24 Hours of Adoration and was a founding member of the local Charismatic Prayer Groups. She was a Secular Carmalite and cooked for the Sisters of the Precious Blood. She loved tending to her flower garden and cooking and baking for her family.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her door was always open whether it was someone just stopping by to raid the cookie jar or someone needing a place to call home

Carol is survived by her five children, William B. Dulmage, Jr., Watertown, Philip J. Dulmage, Pillar Point, Stephen G. (Amy) Dulmage, LaFargeville, Mary E. Dulmage (Brandon) Burroughs, Sackets Harbor, and Michael J. (Jessica) Dulmage, Watertown; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her four brothers, Leonard, Richard, Glen, and Donald LaDuke; and three sisters, Mary LaDuke Courcy, Hilda Haley, and Beverly Walsh.
