Bernadette J. Hurley, 36, of Clayton passed away at her home Friday morning, March 27, 2015. She struggled with a degenerative disease for over 30 years and has been God's Angel on Earth.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Clayton on Wednesday, April 1, at 11AM with Rev. Arthur J. LaBaff, pastor, presiding. There will be no calling hours and arrangements are entrusted to Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.
Bernadette was born in the town of Pamelia on May 2, 1978, daughter of Robert D. and Virginia W. Hurley, and she was a graduate of Thousand Islands High School. She enjoyed spending time at Camp Good Days and Special Times in Rochester and traveling with her family. Dear to her heart were her family, church and friends. Everyone will remember her good sense of humor.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia Hurley, Clayton; five sisters and their husbands, Kristen and William DeMauro, Hicksville, Colleen and Jeremy Lingenfelter, Clayton, Stephanie and Patrick Paquin, Watertown, Kathryn "Katy" and Damian Gosch, Tucson, AZ, and Victoria and Derek Peck, Clayton; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and four nieces and four nephews. Her father, Robert, died July 31, 2013.
