Barbara Paddock Obituary

Barbara Ann Paddock, formerly of Harrisville, went peacefully to be with our Lord on November 6, 2025 at the age of 93.

She was born to George and Julia (Ropiecki) Evans on June 9, 1932 in Utica, NY. She attended Sacred Heart School and Whitesboro High School. After graduating, Barbara met her love, George E. Paddock. They were married in Sacred Heart Church, Utica on August 18, 1951. Over the years they had three children: Karen, David, and Mary. They resided in Clayton, Watertown, and in 1982 moved to Harrisville.

In addition to being a dedicated loving mother, Barbara enjoyed working as a clerk in a few stores in Watertown, including Empsall's Department Store. She loved helping others.

In her early days, Barbara enjoyed playing the piano, dancing, and painting with oils and watercolors. As the years went on, she was a devoted Willie Nelson fan; however, would beam when her grandson, Nick, would play Johnny Cash for her on his guitar. She was always up to playing a good hand of Rummy, as long as the cards were shuffled and ready to be dealt. She would play for hours at a time. Barbara's family always looked forward to her famous sauce and spaghetti dinners. Her grandchildren will always hold fond memories of her "grandma kisses".

Barbara always loved to give HUGS and make others feel special by her kind words and compliments. There were many who were told "You are beautiful”.

In MEMORY of Barbara, please pass on her LOVE by giving compliments, treating others with kindness, being helpful and giving HUGS, especially to your loved ones.

Barbara resided the last 2 1/2 years at Samaritan Keep Home. Her Family will be forever grateful to the nurses and all the staff on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The nurses and staff went above and beyond in Barbara's care and their support to her Family.

She is survived by her three children, Karen A. (Robert M.) Bellinger, Harrisville, David E. Paddock and Sue Baillif, El Cajon, CA, and Mary P. Booth, Ellisburg; five grandchildren, Nicholas Bellinger and Shannon Weeks, Christopher (Marcia) Bellinger, Kaitlin (Mark) Warneck, Taylor Booth, and Christine Booth and John Moshier; five great grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Willa, Arlo, and Adam; a cousin, Rita Allen and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Evans, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, George E, January 10, 2012; great grandson Benjamin, September 2018; and brother Ronald Evans, May 2024.
