Anna A. "Tilly" Littlefield

Anna A. "Tilly" Littlefield, 96, died at her home in Clayton Center, where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County on Friday, August 16, 2013.

She was born June 11, 1917 in Chaumont, daughter of Charles F. McDougall and Grace Diefendorf McDougall. She married Harold G. "Shorty" Littlefield on March 24, 1934. They were married for 61 years, raised 10 children, and lived on their farm in Clayton Center. In 1974 they sold their farm and retired.

Anna enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, puzzles, reading and a good bargain at a rummage sale. Every Sunday she cooked for her entire family, which she loved doing.

Surviving are five sons and their wives, William and Valerie, Great Falls, Montana, Charles and Joyce, Tampa, Florida, James "Joe", Ronald and Kathie, and Terry and Jackie, all of Clayton and daughter, Joyce and Peter Papin, Redwood; daughter-in-law, Maureen Littlefield, Clayton and son-in-law, Dale Bazinet, Earlville; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, children Jerry and his wife, Eva, Dan "Tuffy", JoAnne, and Randy, her parents, and two brothers, Edward and Ernest McDougall.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in Depauville Cemetery on Friday, August 23, at 11AM with Pastor Donald Briant officiating. Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.
