Anna M. (Miller) Guyette

   Anna M. Guyette, 92, of Watertown, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by her family at Samaritan Summit Village, where she had lived since 2022.

   Anna was born in Plattsburgh on March 8, 1934, to Willard and Jennie (Stone) Miller. She graduated from D'Youville Academy in Plattsburgh and, in 1955, from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Watertown. On September 8, 1956, she married Richard Ralph Guyette at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.

   Anna began her career as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital, then specializing in geriatrics and infection control during her nursing carrier. By the time she retired, she was the Director of Nursing at Madonna Home of Mercy Hospital, having dedicated more than 30 years of service to the hospital. 

   She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Ladies Luncheon Club. Anna also belonged to the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association and had been a past member of the Italian American Club Auxilary, the Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bowling, spending time at her cottage on Pillar Point, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and accomplishments in school, traveling with her husband, wintering in New Port Richey, FL, and visiting her siblings in Plattsburgh.

   Anna is survived by her three children, Cheryl Anne Hayes and husband Michael of Black River, Richard Andrew Guyette and wife Mary Christine of Suffolk, VA, and Jacqueline Marie Netto and husband Richard of Watertown; six grandchildren, Matthew Netto and wife Megan, Michael Netto, Mitchell Netto and fiancée Abby Pierce, Maria Netto, Zachary Hayes and wife Jaylan, and Joseph Hayes; two great-grandchildren, with one on the way; three brothers, Richard Miller and wife Linda, Donald Miller and wife Sandy, and Bernard Miller and wife Linda, all of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Helen Lemieux of Plattsburgh and Bernice Oliver of NH; sister-in-law Pauline Miller of Rouses Point; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, husband of 54 years, her brothers Willard Miller Jr., Douglas Miller, and sister Theresa Fountain.

   Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. The funeral mass will be on Friday, July 10, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.      Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the Samaritan Summit Village staff for the care and devotion they showed Anna throughout her residency.
