My heartfelt sympathy to Maria and the entire Fitzgerald family and loved ones. I remember Jimmy and the Fitzgerald family well from our years at Holy Family and beyond. A lovely family who hold a special place in my heart always. God Bless each of you as you endure such a heavy loss. Carmen (Hibbard) Dickson

Jim was one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. He spoke eloquently. He dedicated the later part of his life to raising his daughter Emily, whom meant the world to him and brought great happiness. He read broadly, mostly nonfiction and could speak about a large number of topics. He had a creative mind and a subtle sense of humor. Faced with the inevitable he displayed acceptance and courage. He was one of my best friends, I will miss him.

I grew up with the FitzGeralds and Jimmy was one of the big kids I looked up to, growing up wit his brother Joe and best friend. Wonderful memories and adventures from the 60's and 70's with the family.
Prayers and sorrow for the family during these difficult times.
RIP with you parents and brothers Jim !
