Heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this sad time. I was so blest to have had the fortunate experience of having Mrs. Percy as my teacher at St. Patrick's and also to have taught with her at IHC. Knowing her has been one of the true great experiences of my life. She was such an elegant and graceful woman...an incredible role model for all of us.

Mrs. Percy was, hands down, the only teacher I ever had who I felt truly cared about me. She was one of my only cheerleaders at St. Patrick’s and I was so happy to see her at IHC when I arrived there. I never really appreciated the green lift and it’s symbolism in The Great Gatsby, but I clearly remember discussing it in her class. She inspired me to go into forensics and become a confident, eloquent speaker which led to me becoming a teacher myself.
When people talk of that one teacher who really touched them and changed their life, mine was Mrs. Percy. She will be dearly missed.

It was a privilege to teach with Eleanor at Immaculate Heart Central. She inspired the faculty to work for excellence, dedication and compassion with their students; moreover, she was a dear friend whom I will miss greatly. May she shine in perpetual light.

Eleanor welcomed me to the IHC staff and inspired me to be a better teacher each day. She was brilliant and elegant. I admired her so much and still refer back to all she shared with me about life, books, and education. She has left an incredible legacy. When I light my candle tonight, I will hold her in my prayers.

I am very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Percy was the best teacher I have ever had. Her caring, compassion, and the love for what she did were what made her so special. I will always have fond memories of her, and much of what I am as a teacher I learned from her. Rest in peace.
