Shirley A. Wagner - Calling Hours

Calling hours for Shirley A. Wagner will be held on Saturday, June 16, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton from 9:30 - 11:30AM followed by the funeral service at noon at the Clayton United Methodist Church with Pastor Earl L. LaLone presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mrs. Wagner, 92, of Clayton, passed away April 12, 2018 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, Schenectady. Online condolences to Shirley's family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.

Shirley took me on a wonderful, watery tour of the Clayton area one afternoon before she stowed the boat away for the winter. Then we returned to enjoy her lovely flowers. Our heritages are certainly intermingled.

I worked with Shirley from 1977 until her retirement at BOCES. She was a wonderful person, mild mannered, and very knowledgeable in her subject area. Everyone who worked with her loved and respected her. Deepest Sympathy to the family.

Mrs. Wagner taught at Redwood High School in the mid 60's. I took several business courses from her and she prepared me well for my business career ahead of me.
