Monica Marshall Youngs, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Hospice of Jefferson County. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. A committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Monica was born on July 9, 1957, daughter of Patrick "Pat" and Korleen (Fox) Marshall. She was a 1976 graduate of Thousand Islands High School.
On April 3, 1982 at Depauville United Methodist Church she married Robert F. Youngs. Monica owned the upholstery shop "Tack n' Hammer" in Clayton, displaying a wonderful knack for bringing old pieces back to life, and she went on to provide cleaning services in her home town of Clayton. Monica truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: the beautiful St. Lawrence River, being surrounded by friends and family, and spending time with her grandchild, Owen Wayne. Monica had an uncanny ability to keep a positive outlook on life in every way.
Along with her husband, Robert, Monica is survived by her two children, son Ryan and daughter Keshia; grandson Owen; mother Korleen; sisters, Georgeen (Marshall) Clarke and Jean Marshall; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and all her friends whose lives Monica touched. She was predeceased by her father, Patrick J. Marshall.
