William C. Streets, 88, formerly of Clayton passed away March 4, 2018 at his home in Winchester, VA.
A graveside service at the Clayton Cemetery will be announced in the spring. Local arrangements are entrusted to Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.
Bill was born in Albany, NY on September 30, 1929, son of William and Ruth Luscher Streets. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School. He entered the US Army on October 1, 1946, serving in the 1st Cavalry in Japan. He received the Army of Occupation Medal - Japan and the World War II Victory Medal and was honorably discharged on August 6, 1948. Bill then graduated from Union College in 1952, and from Albany Law School in 1955.
On July 18, 1972, he married Edna M. Moak at the Grindstone Island Methodist Church.
He began his law practice with Hinman, Strub, Bigors & Manning in Albany and later worked for and retired from Mobil Oil Company. He was a former member of Delmar (NY) Reformed Church. After his retirement, he enjoyed his time on Chub Island, leaving his family a lasting legacy of a beautiful vacation spot for generations to come.
Along with his wife, Edna, Bill is survived by his sister, Marilyn Streets Kime, seven nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
