Claudia was born in Watertown on September 18, 1950, daughter of Claude J. and Charlene F. Perrin Burns. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and the college in Morrisville where she received her associates degree in Dietetics.

She worked for many years at Mercy Hospital as a Diet Technician and retired from Samaritan Summit Village. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, music, and reading. You would be hard pressed to beat her at Scrabble and she would play any board game, including Monopoly with Jim. Claudia was an avid Yankees fan.
