Ina E. MaloneyIna E. Maloney, 91, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 1, 2017, at her home in Sand Bay under the care of Hospice and her family.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., 320 John St., Clayton on Friday, April 7, from 4 - 7PM. A prayer service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, April 8, at 10:15AM followed by the funeral mass celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 11AM with Rev. Arthur J. LaBaff, pastor, presiding. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Rosiere.

Ina was born in Cape Vincent on October 30, 1925, daughter of Sherwood and Ina Robertson Countryman. On September 26, 1942 she married J. Howard Maloney at St. Vincent of Paul Church, Cape Vincent. Mr. Maloney passed on July 19, 1976. With her husband, she ran Maloney's Mobile Home Park and Cottages, town of Cape Vincent, and Mrs. Maloney was also employed by Thousand Islands Central School for thirteen years.

She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Rosiere and volunteered at the Cape Vincent Historical Museum. Her enjoyments included word puzzles, reading, sewing, traveling, and watching the ships on the River.

Ina is survived by her four children, Judy A. Hodkinson and husband, David, Sand Bay and Hilton, J. Wayne Maloney, Sand Bay, Lu Ann Maloney, Clayton, and Susan M. Healy and husband, R. John, Sand Bay; three grandchildren, Joanne Azzolina and husband, Dan, Jim Hodkinson and wife, Cathy, and Zach Healy; brother, Frank Countryman and wife, Nancy, Queensbury; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her husband, Howard, she was predeceased by her four brothers, John, William, Edward, and Charles Countryman, and her sister, Isabelle Reinbeck.

We are very sorry to hear of Ina's passing. It's comforting to know that she was able to spend her last days at Sand Bay-a very special, wonderful place for many of us. Cherish the memories and know that she will always be with you in your heart.
