Matthew C. Perry, 42, of Watertown passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, in the emergency room at Samaritan Medical Center.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Saturday, March 11, from 11:30AM - 1:30PM followed by the funeral service at the funeral home at 2PM with Pastor Jeffrey Smith, of First Baptist Church, presiding.

Matthew was born in Watertown on May 1, 1974, son of Michael E. and Christine A. (Dupee) Perry. He attended Watertown schools and received his GED and attended a year at JCC in it's Culinary Arts program. He worked in various restaurants in Syracuse and Watertown, and most recently as a chef at Fairgrounds Inn. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, playing poker and especially cooking for his family.

Along with his parents, Michael and Christine, he is survived by his son, Nicholas R. Perry, Watertown; brother, Michael E. Perry, Jr. and companion, Lori O. Hayward, Watertown; twin sister, Michelle E. Wilson, Canton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and one great niece. Matthew was predeceased by his twin sisters, Melissa M. and Adrianne M. Perry, maternal grandparents, Robert J. and Barbara A. (Wright) Dupee and paternal grandparents, Donald M. and Mary E. (Ostrom) Richie.

My prayers and condolences to the entire Perry family. I have many fond memories with Matt and all of you. He was such a fun and free spirit. I will always consider him as family.
