We are both saddened by the news of Karl's passing. Ed worked with Karl for many years and I grew up being a part of the Town of Watertown Fire Department with my parents and Karl was a dear friend and fireman. When I worked at Griffith he would stop often to see me and we tried to keep a watch out for him. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

We rented our first apartment 39 years ago from Karl at the former Malady home. We never forgot his kindness to a young couple just starting out. He made us feel at home there even helping us with gardening as we were novices. We always welcomed his visits as he was so good to us. He definitely has a place in heaven.

We rented our first apartment from Mr. Malady 39 years ago at the former Malady family home on outer Washington St. Karl was so good to us. We have not forgotten his kindness to a young couple just starting out. He let us garden there and even tilled it up for us. He pretty much guided us with it since we were novices. He welcomed us and made us feel at home there. We always welcomed his visits and were amazed at his acts of kindness. He definitely has a place in heaven.
