Mary T. Albro, 83, of Watertown passed away Saturday evening, January 30, 2016, at Samaritan Medical Center. Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Wednesday, February 3, from 4 - 7PM. The funeral service will be Thursday, February 4, at 10AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jonas Tandayu, MSC presiding and burial will be in the spring in North Watertown Cemetery.
Mary was born in Glen Park on February 27, 1932, daughter of Roy and Gladys Rafferty Blake. She graduated Valedictorian of her class at Immaculate Heart Academy and was the last surviving member. A marriage to William Parker ended in divorce. She then married Gary W. Albro on November 17, 1968 and he died September 7, 1993. She enjoyed being a homemaker and for quite a few years, delivering newspapers for the Watertown Daily Times. Mary had been a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by her six children, Christine and Kerry Froysell, Watertown, Cindy and David Marino, Sackets Harbor, Colleen and Peter Curtis, Pamelia, April and Donald Sadeckas, Cicero, Shane and Tammy Albro, Watertown, and Gary F. B. Albro, Watertown; 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Susan Albro; sister, Pauline and William Baker, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, Gary, Mary was predeceased by two children, Michael W. Parker and Evelyn "Star" Shinkle.
