Thomas E. Madill

Thomas E. Madill, 67, of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Watertown, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, in Watertown.

There will be no public services and arrangements are entrusted to Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. He will be interred at Brookside Cemetery at the convenience of his family.

Tom was born in Watertown on March 2, 1948, son of William J. and Genevieve Fitzgerald Madill and he attended Lyme schools. A marriage to Linda E. Orvis ended in divorce. On. January 26, 1991 he married Marie S. Miller in Calcium and she died May 16, 2010.

From 1966 to 2011 he was a machinist at NY Airbrake. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 496 and he was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 761 and a Past President of the union at NY Airbrake. He enjoyed car auctions, classic cars, and cars in general. Tom also very much enjoyed his cats and dogs and summered in Three Mile Bay.

He is survived by his daughter, Anne M. Haley, Watertown; granddaughter, Hannah E. Haley; fiancée, Cathie M. Garrett Davis; three stepdaughters, Roxanne and Fred Doner, Evans Mills, Debra Williams, Adams, and Dawn Rankin, Watertown; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; four siblings, Roseann Baxter, MI, James and Judy Madill, Chaumont, Paula Watson, NC, and Jan and Don Arno, Black River; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His two brothers, William and John Madill, died before him.

Donations in his name may be made to either Three Mile Bay Ambulance Squad, 8581 NYS Rt. 12E, Three Mile Bay, NY 13693 or SPCA of Jefferson County, 25056 Water St., Watertown, NY 13601.

Roseanne and Family, so sorry to read of Tom's passing. May HE hold all of you in HIS arms at this time and each of you find comfort in HIS grace. Your memories will keep Tom with each of you.
